Description
A bunch of kids get together to turn a run-down old theater into a community center. "Miracles," an East L.A. hangout where locals lock, pop, and break dance is run by a nice old guy, and Kelly, Ozone, and Turbo help by offering dance related activities. Now a real estate developer wants to tear down the center and put up a big retail development. To save the center, a big extravaganza of a benefit is organized--providing an excuse for lots of song and dance numbers--and Kelly's WASP parents help to save the day. The film combines street dancing with the older traditions of stage dancing and chorus lines, yielding a unique hybrid of old and new dance styles in a traditional musical format.
